I did this before, but in a more complicated way where I chose one of my super great playlists. This time I would choose a Daily Mix playlist from Spotify and the first song off of that playlist that hasn’t been chosen.
Example for my case:
These are the mixes:
Jag would get Mix 3, which is mostly Britpop.
The first song on that list is this, which is a great song off of the second worst album by my first favorite band:

You get Mix 6, mostly Eurodance. Why? I don’t know, but tell me this song, featuring Bryan Ferry, isn’t a perfect match.

My cars would be a mix of Dobranotch and EXODUS lol :]

Can I do multiple?
Also, props for the Joy Division. I adore them.

My first inclination was to go 70s, Mix 2, because manual. But manual and practical is legit, and legit means Mix 5, Hip Hop.
You sir, got very lucky.

Yes.
Since you posted a classic, you got Mix 2, 70s
So you get Little Miss Queen of Darkness, one of my favorite songs.

Since it’s lifted, you DGAF. You know what else DGAF?
People who like Mix 4, 80s music.
Note: the 7" mix was the actual result.

Good choice. And I drive it like they drove that CV in the video. But please, no sliding across my hood...

That’s a mix I can’t imagine exists, so you got Mix 1, Jazz, and this fab Ella song:

I’m jealous of someone else getting a tune from The Kinks so I’m stacking the deck a little here. Also M5 would be Kraftwerk and the Corvette would likely have something with a banjo solo so I’m clearly playing fast and loose with the rules.

The most Italian thing I have is Mix 6, Eurodance, which is mostly French. Lucky for you however, the second song to come off of that list is from a group with a country that is producer of equally unreliable cars.

I’m going to assign Mix 2 again, because it isn’t always pretty, but it gets the job done.

Obviously you get Mix 3, mostly Britpop.
Weirdly, you didn’t get a British band though. You got the most American of bands, but we don’t question the Spotify Daily Mix’s wisdom, and it kind of works.

I absolutely love that song. I don’t know why, but when I see the truck, the Foo Fighters start playing in my head. Guess because it’s a 1996.

Well, that’s just cool. So is Mix 1, Jazz.
Live at the It Club. It has a fake intro, so it’s worth settling in with it.

:O
Jag gets Mix 3, mostly Britpop
Mustang gets Mix 6, Eurodance, because both has been instrumental in accidental deaths.
I promise that was the next song. Spotify is a troll.

Well, that’s just cool. So is Mix 5.
You get:
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn

Great tune! Stoked!
Also the movie is an excellent choice for the video. Given any major life decision I always consider WWTDD and generally go with what feels like the correct answer.

Mix 4, 80s music

That photo is sweeeeeet. So is Mix 3, mostly Britpop, which frustratingly has another American band.
But that song? That song is GREAT.
In a way it works. Jeeps and Pavement are both on my top ten lists of things that are great about America.
![]() 07/11/2017 at 20:22 |
|
This one is complex, so here goes. The background reminds me of Horse With No Name, by America. On my 70s playlist, is Sister Golden Hair by America, followed by Take it Easy, by the Eagles, which also works. So you get Mix 2, 70s.
For whatever reason, the next song on this list is very 60s.
Years ago, before we had Spotify, the one place I could find this song was on a disc set put out by, I think Rhino (Maybe Rykodisc?), of 60s garage music. It was one of the best CD sets I owned and I miss it with a burning passion.
Also, this is an amazing song for a car advertisement, but I don’t think it’s ever been used as such.

Well, that just has to be Mix 2, 70s, right?
So, you got this. It’s not very Mustang-y, but hear me out.
I had a girlfriend where I who I sing this to, but I’d replace “puppy” and “friend” with “Jew.” My version is non-ironically great.
